A Day in the Life of Constant Fear

A Day in the Life of Constant Fear

A Poem by Kat Mandu

Silence splits with a fearful cry;
Gods and devils play their role.
The moon sets against a blood-red sky.

Fallen heroes, dead they lie;
Blood runs from each forgotten soul.
Silence splits with a fearful cry.

You're falling fast and don't know why;
Satan's nearly reached his goal.
The moon sets against a blood-red sky.

Harpies pillage, flee, then fly,
Beaks dark as death, wings black as coal.
Silence splits with a fearful cry.

The black hole sun waves goodbye,
The dark of day destroys the soul.
The moon sets against a blood-red sky.

Soldiers fall, heroes die.
Demons tear flesh and eat it whole
Silence splits with a fearful cry,
The moon sets against a blood-red sky.

I know it's a bit repetitive- it's a villanelle, so the rhyme scheme etc. is very limmetted. Please respond accordingly. Peace out. x ^^
