![]() What We WantA Poem by Kat Mandu
The extreme starts to scream, it wants to consume us,
It''s what we want to be, so don''t coat us like rust. Don''t blind our eyes as silence dies, Get out our crowd and off our cloud And leave us empty skies. Let''s make some cash, earn denarii, Now it''s time for us to party! Live like lunatics and die without a cry, Like fallen heroes. All heroes need a heroine; Whether it's powder or liquid we don''t give a s**t. At least we're fucked up now, Instead of growing up Ignorant of throwing up, With a life sheltered, Not uncut. Sure we'll miss our mothers And our brothers And our families one anothers But I think we'd rather leave and conceive Ideas of dying with dishonors. It's the fame which calls our name, Heroines and heroes, Idols unlike zeroes. And now let's listen, play the game. All that's left to see now Are the stars which burn in flame. © 2010 Kat ManduAuthor's Note
