When we were friendsA Poem by Kat ManduWhat do you remember? Swords at night, A titanic twist of fright, Doughnuts in the dark, How we opened up our hearts. Love. Love is what I remember. I promise I won't forget those times, When we were friends. Are you on your own? Falling in and out of lonely dreams, With cigarettes and stupid scenes. Things we used to say, I recall them all, Hear them everyday. Memories scream and fall, I promise I won't forget our sound, When we were friends. Do you even care you hurt me? I am by myself, No fortune, luck or wealth. Just a breaking soul. Hold it together for a moment more, Please let me ask you why, Don't leave me in the dark to die. I promise I won't forget the pain, When we were friends. How did I hurt you? A stupid question. Not once did I learn my lesson, Just wait a moment and hear my confession. You threw me from Valhalla, Took away my love and power. Winter wilts a friendship flower. I promise I won't forget my faults, When we were friends. Will it ever end? I hope so. Everything ends on an ordinary day, Nothing spectacular and no words to say. Can we pretend, That again we are friends? I don't understand but I will wait for you. I promise I won't forget our dreams, When we were friends. © 2016 Kat ManduFeatured Review
