Fury Unleashed

Fury Unleashed

A Poem by Kat Mandu

The skin on my knuckles is torn away.

My head hurts and I am sleepless.

It is here to stay.

Remember that day,

Bark on fist,

Fury in the mist.

These memories I want to forget.

These feelings always I regret.

My brain screams at me.

My arms are scratched.

Doors open,

Locks unlatched.

Shaking,

Teeth gritted,

Pain against pain is pitted.

Tears fall upon my shirt

And here I kneel,

Alone I feel

Each and every thing

I retreat,

The battle lost

In the afterlife I take my seat.
