ConfessionA Poem by Kathleen PastranaThis poem is about having the courage to put into writing feelings that we're too afraid to say out loud. The
possibility of a confession hung in
the air, I could
feel it in my fingertips. We
could've been brave, right then, right
there, but fear
of your reaction held back
my lips. The
secret I could never tell haunted
me in my slumber, followed
me as I fell captive
to the spell of that October evening. I could
have told you in the car, oblivious
to the moment passing but I
haven't got a quark of
confidence to start talking. So in
this poem I shall confess, the
string of words I've kept the longest and the
secret I've been dying to tell, is I'm in
love with you, Hernel. © 2016 Kathleen PastranaReviews
