Wrestle the demons

Black claws hold tightly

Too much to bear

Past mistakes on replay

So vividly flashing like a horror movie

No delete button

Never meant to become that person from long ago

Buried her in a dark, forgotten place

Dug up and forced to relive

Sorrow swells like a water balloon

Shame heats with a flame of anger

Didn't want to face myself

Down on the ground hopeless

Bleeding red regret

So good at f*****g up

Very powerful feeling in this one, along with a lot of unique imagery and similes. These are used to make us feel some of the anguish the speaker is feeling. No blame, though; the last line is a stark acceptance of responsibility. All the poem needs is a spell check on the last word of line 3.
