Prison TowerA Poem by Silver_water_dragonInspired from my novel in work called Black Sun Rising. Are the walls closing in? Pressure from all sides Is the room spinning? Perception takes leave Look at this storm you created Twisting- wrestling- agitation How will you escape this? Angry storm clouds over your head ~ Regret crashes all around This isn't what you had in mind at all Blame rains down all around Rain can't wash this all away ~ Innocent- only few know Judgement strikes down still No sympathy for any tears of yours This curse has been brought upon you ~ Is it getting harder to breathe? You wish it was all in your head It's not safe to tread there either Voices and images haunt like an unwanted ghost ~ Awake or not There is no rest found Where is the calm to this storm? There is no shelter to hide in from this. ~ Accusing fingers point your way Nothing can be done about this curse Status stripped with no hesitation Abandoned now and locked away ~ An isolated place as cold as a winter evening, When you can see your breath fade out. Lonely and empty as a cemetery on a foggy night, When the wind is as cold as death. ~ Through the tightly barred window, Loneliness blows through. Shivers through your scarred body. Left here to rot in a most uncomfortable way. ~ These are the cards Fate has dealt. How will you play at an unfair game? Will you give up and fold? The clock is ticking ever so softly, and it's your turn now. © 2014 Silver_water_dragonAuthor's Note
