Wind

Twirling twisting under over

Looping back again

Pulling pushing with such force

It breaks the backs of men

 

It rises up and pushes down

The force laughs in your face

Tilt your head and grit your teeth

Keep your feet in place

 

Careless ease and snarky pressure

Poisoning your ken

Stamping out your hopeful flames

Never dream again

 

You have the strength, push it back

It will only slow your pace

Fight it hard with all your rage

But don’t forget your grace

A great poem on the wind and its effects or it could have a deeper meaning...:)

I like the descriptions in the first stanza. They remind me of the time I went walking with some friends in a category three hurricane (Yeah, I know that's probably crazy.) The wind felt like that. I also like the message you send in your last two lines. You show us that their is a balance between fighting to remain composed and losing all of our grace. I think that is quite a good message, especially in reference to dealing with nature. Well done here, K.
