Those eyes

We can see so many emotions through the eyes of anyone without a single word being said. Some people can hide it better than others by a turn of the head, not maken eye contact, just so they don't let people see how they truely feel. But sometimes when you do see that emotion, its nothing but lies. Why is it that we don't want people to know who we really are? Could it be the fear of getting hurt, or being let down by someone you let into your life. But what is life without taken a leap of faith? How is lieing so much easier than saying how you truely feel? What are we afraid of? If someone knows you how bad can it be?

When that person you finally let into your life, the one you tell everything, the one you trust, lets you down; you then realize why it was that all this time you never let anyone look into your eyes. You gave them your everything, you gave them your heart to hold. You thought you read the love in their eyes like they read in yours. What was it that changed? Was there ever love in those eyes? Why would someone choose to hurt you when you asked them not to? Did they do it on purpose, or did they take the leap to quickly, and now don't know what it is they are to do with the love that you show? Could it be that they don't want you to hurt them, so they hold back because of the many times they have been decieved. You can ask yourself so many questions and never get an answer. You will never truely know how that person sees you. You will never really know if the look in those eyes that you thought was love actually was. But when I look into those eyes, I see the love, the care, and the hurt. I only wish you wouldn't turn your head everytime I look into your eyes. You let the hurt cover everything, so you won't have to hurt agian. But know that I will never hurt you, I am here to stay, I gave you my heart and I won't take it away.
