Bells of Snow or Sound of Snow

Bells of Snow or Sound of Snow

A Poem by Kate Ruta

The beautiful night was icy

I did not mind.

Dreary and dismissed

By the magnificence of the shadowy unprotected sky

Light of love from the moon upon my face.

To be touched by the warmth like a mother’s first touch.

Heavenly bells ring through the echo

Of the stubborn breeze.

The snows phantom sound

Staying still and silent

Ding-ding of the elegant beauty that,

Unlocks my heart.

The peace of the flakes in the dark.

Held together by dreams.

To be warmed by the breeze.

As I stay here and listen to the snow talk.

I first wrote two separate poems, "Wedding Bells" and "The Snow of Night", then I took those two and made it into one poem "The Snow of Wedding Bells" and then I took those poems and made a whole new one out of it

This was beautiful and a welcome cooling to the 100 degree heat we have been experiencing in South Texas. I like how this feels as I read it.Very nicely done.

I love the atmosphere you have created in this poem; very reflective and peaceful, yet with sombre undertones. Very beautiful my dear.

Wow !! After reading about 3ish of your works, I can say this is definitely your best, atleast for myself ! You aced this !! Beautiful alliteration and concrete imagery. It really shows that you put in a lot of work into this piece. ( watch out not to repeat too much of the same words )
I can only wish to produce something this beautiful. Seriously, I really really like this, you have talent.

This poem itself is almost 'held together by dreams': just like the wide-open nature of an unprotected sky, somehow all of this is part-and-parcel of each other and itself, without there being necessarily any explicit connections.
