Lucky Number Eight

Lucky Number Eight

A Poem by Kathryn
"

These feelings are real, And for once, they belong to a person Not an idea.

"
I've jumped, fallen
Head first into warm arms.
I'm embracing the change of a real
Prince Charming, as I find I'm no longer broken
But awoken and laughing
At my mistakes
As I retrace my steps and then my
Fingers in patterns on your skin.
I've become alive like never before
Which is frightening and exciting
As I discover happiness in you.
I'm smiling and twirling and one night
In my sleep I started whispering,
"You're my world."
I'm diving, soaring,
Free falling towards a greater ends
With better means.
My senses are set on fire as
We kiss in the dark,
In the light
Of our imperfections and shortcomings
With the full realization
That we are perfect for each other.
This vividness is right,
These feelings are real,
And for once, they belong to a person
Not an idea.

Cute piece. I like the portrayal of love like this. Abstract, but good overall.

i don't like this.

it sounds like you are running away from faith.

What a delightful poem about finding the true One. Really wonderful words. Thanks so much for sharing such depth of emotion. Nicely penned.

I really liked this, filled with emotion of a new-found love. I absolutely love the closing lines...
"This vividness is right,
These feelings are real,
And for once, they belong to a person
Not an idea."
