Mind TwinsA Poem by Kate Henderson
Seeds of evil
My mind turns Daily against itself Nothing I can do But live in torment Half of me, half evil Lived by another Twisted mind Crucified heart Ideas, disturbing Pulled from sinews of a demonic kind Memories are not my own Terrified faces who I don't know Reacting to the malevolence within The dark chasms of the mind Cannot understand Cannot comprehend Destruction of the soul To another person's means Achieve the same ending Sadness lying never spoken, Stillness remains a valued token Slowly drifting to other worlds Poisoned bloodstream Invoking a puppet A thin string that holds me in place As strong as a bird wing Fluttering up high
