SpaceA Poem by Kate Henderson
Cosmic translucency
Outer world transfixiation Coloured with rainbow Luminescent sparkling Torrent of imagination Crawls beneath creation Darkened poison Hallucination Asphyxiation Cataclysm of destruction Nebular eclipse Space dust from a Galaxy far away On a cosmic time frame Seeps through A kaleidoscope of times hourglass Saturating with Pixie dust Like the fairy Queen Casting her spell On the fallen Vampire In candy coloured Mountains Sings a lullaby Haunting the lunar moon Transfixed on the Mirage on earth The drip of the tap The dancing of the Ballerina Such beauty lies On earth and space An infinite expanse Of wonder and Danger Calls like a hawk Predatory bird Vast and immense Heat and cold From the celestial sun The fairy Queen's yellow desert As she dances like The butterfly on a Rich purple flower Casting her spell Wherever she goes Nobody knows What exists or what doesn't Only space can tell you But its whispers go unheard The planets call to each other Through the cosmic glass They are vacuumed in Cannot escape Their fate Earth dreams about its Planet's friends Wonders what type of life may exist Can it exist in space Or will Earth be forever curious?
