Sounds like the first frost of winter somewhere at the end of October Where the leaves have left the trees and the frost is on the Pumpkin and a ghostly Night ahead.

sorry i just want to read more now u seem like an amazing poet
Very beautiful imagery you have here. You give a personality to dreams which is something unique and quite profound. Every line matters to the poem, and gives its own unique insight. I feel like dreams are something everyone likes to cover in their writing, but again you do it in a unique way. Very, very well done. ~Never Forget

Hey thank you very much for your review! I am glad you enjoyed and found meaning in this piece!
Dark, with a good dose of eerie, particularly "that live within and wait for the night to emerge". I like the idea of gentle ghosts, something not to be feared but admired in coexistence. Good to read another dark writer and I loved the bio :) Penny

Hi, I'm Kate. I write dark poetry.
Frequent themes in my poetry seem to be horror, fantasy, darkness, death (and beyond), nature, philosophy, and fear.
