The Tale Of Dorian GrayA Poem by Kate Henderson
The face no one can forget
Behind his beauty lies a hideous secret A Faustian pact he will live to regret Living in debauchery and vice Whole existence is a web of lies The whole world he had once stood to win Had he not chosen the path of sin An angel on the outside But the monster lives within Decrepit and old As is the picture Burns the soul to ash No longer can he hide the truth Of the portrait in the attic Haunting him to the death And that is the tale of Dorian Gray
