SunriseA Poem by Kate Henderson
Red giant
Towering apocalypse Burning white Blistering scarred earth A beaten world Defeated by the enemy Of life Alien land Forgotten, alone, at peace No wars can break Strength in the darkness Of the unborn star Growing Sun For the last stand Takes the hand Pushes out From the womb of space The human race Has been destroyed By the giant ray Crushing brutality As earth is eaten up A tasty snack for The monster Once gave earth life Can take it Back in a flash Moving on Hears the Planets calling Earth can not reply Now is your time to die
