Frozen PoolA Poem by Kate Henderson
Dreams cascade down the
Flowing pool of water Diamond rocks Glisten underneath Mist from the dew Rises up to engulf it Falling, falling into a bottomless pit A sanctuary for the dead Bones rotting Alone, forgotten Inside a cave Her dreams are ice Frozen in time Mirage of colour Blue, opal and green Cosmic wonders Of a nocturnal dream Crystal scars Locked beneath the skin Smashed, broken The tiny pieces shattered so thin
