Echo

Echo

A Poem by Kate Henderson

In the labyrinth of Stalactite caves,
Hear the Echo of crashing waves,
Wandering in a cavern of black and grey,
For the Echo fades everyday,

Rise to the roof exposed by a shaft of light,
As I look into the rays blasting down.
My call comes to me on waves of time,
Carried by the Echo over walls of lime,

An oasis beach, with trees of palm,
With dolphins swimming around so calm.
From an outlet above water cascades down like snow.
And splashing sounds fill the air on the Echo.

Don't you think that you're a great Rhymer!!
This write's showing here how much talent you've in your body , in your blood and of course in your veins as well. last few words're nice penned and showed and even explained me the the meaning of the title "'ECHO". Words're powerful and imaginary's great as well. I think i'm not getting some words to write on this review to appreciate you to your this write... but i'd like to say, it's an awesome piece and i loved this much. I loved here your Unique Rhyme too, what a great flow, do you know... i read out this piece in my flow and it's seemed like a Rap... isn't it!

"Echo" alludes to Greek mythology; the name means "sound." The poem appears to be in tribute of the beauty of a voice, captivated by the sea. I like this ending more than the tragedy of heartbreak between Echo and Narcissus.

"My call comes to me on waves of time,/carried by the echo over walls of lime..."

The reader may interpret this as an understanding of l i f e and d e a t h. Time is personified by the cycle of waves; it is an endless spectrum. The writer has offered beauty with serene imagery.

Thank you for sharing!
