Silent ScreamA Poem by KateDSome things should never be left unexpressed.
Sitting at the table Staring into your deep blue eyes I wonder if I am allowed to say it. The words used to come naturally But now I am not sure If they are appropriate. My throat hurts with the suppressed need To tell you But I dare not say the words. Sadness creeps onto your face And I wonder Do you feel the same? You shut the pain away And giving me one last stare You turn around and leave. I close my eyes Against the flood of tears A silent scream I love you © 2008 KateDReviews
