Teddy Bear’s “illness”.

By Kate AKS

At the entrance of the hospital comes a little girl with Teddy Bear in her hands.

- Are you hurt? - Asks her a Nurse.

- No. But I need a Doctor. - Answers the Girl.

- What do you need from the Doctor? - Asks her a Nurse.

- The Doctor needs to look at my Teddy Bear. - Answers the Girl.

- Teddy Bear?

- Yes.

- I am a Nurse. I am first to look at everyone who enter that door and later I tell the Doctor all that is necessary.

- You first meet patients.

- Yes.

- You are most important that Doctor. - Says the Girl.

- Don’t say this to Doctor. He will be disappointing. - Answers the Nurse.

- Could you look at my Teddy Bear?

- Sure. But the patient needs his own place. Come here.

The Nurse and the Girl enter the hospital’s ward.

The Girl carefully put Teddy Bear on the bed.

- Tell me what is going on.

- My Teddy Bear is unwell.

- What happened? - Asked the Nurse.

- Today I found him under my bed. Look at him. I think he is ill.

- Let’s check. The head is in place. Both ears are in place. Eyes. - The Nurse attentively checks the buttons that teddy bear had instead of eyes. - Legs, hands. All is in the proper place.

- And? - Asks the Girl.

- We need to hear his heart.

The Nurse takes the phonendoscope and puts it on the teddy bear’s “heart”.

- Now all is clear. - Said the Nurse.

- What is it? What is it with him? - Asked the Girl.

- You Teddy Bear is sad.

- Sad? Why? - Asked the Girl.

- When was the last time you played with him?

- I used to play with him every day.

- What changed? - Asked the Nurse.

- Last week I had a birthday and received many new toys.

- And you forgot about your teddy bear?

- I haven’t time. What I will do now?

- I will give you a prescription.

- Pres- crip- ti -on.

- I will tell you what to do. - Said the Nurse.

- I would do everything that he again would be well.

- Hugs every morning. Spoon of honey three times per day. And main…

- What?

- Don’t forget to kiss him on the forehead before going to bed.

- He will be fine?

- He will. - Smiled the Nurse.

The door opens and enters the Doctor, sees the Teddy Bear.

- Nurse, do you need my help?

- No. The Teddy Bear is already on his road to be well.

- I promise. - Said the Girl.

- Thank you, Nurse. What would I do without you? - Said the Doctor smiling.

- Would be busy. - Says the Girl and gently kisses her Teddy Bear.

- I think he already looks much better. - Said the Doctor.

The Girl hugs the Teddy Bear and runs away smiling.
