The Wind

The Wind

A Poem by Katarina
"

I wrote this after spending a week in the cold mountains in Guadalaraja, and finally making it to the seaside in Colima Mexico.

"

I long to be touched

So she kisses me all at once

In the way only she can

Sweet and subtle

Yet fleeting

She has a million other lovers

Many unaware of her daily caresses

Only those sensitive enough

Slow enough to feel

Know her the way I do

She whispers loving memories in my ear

I know she's seen it all

Nothing surprises her

And her absence is powerful

In the stillness my faith wanes

But her song reminds me why I’m here

On the pacific coast of Mexico

You write so beautifully about the wind! I especially love the lines

"I long to be touched
So she kisses me all at once
In the way only she can" I like the idea of wind "kissing" a person, touching them with a little chill when it's cold, or a little warmth when it's hot.
