One Bright StarA Poem by Katarina EIleen NazpariI sat at my bay window, eyes glazed, unexpectant and content, peering upon those midnight stars, all billions of miles away. I closed my eyes for a small moment, a mere star had never stood out to me, among all others alike, nonetheless, when they awoke, they mistakenly fixated upon her. My eyes were welcomed with a small, but undeniable glimmer. I discovered, she shone a little brighter than all the rest. Letting go this sheer fact would never be a possibility again. For the duller stars began to fade behind the clouds, and she became the only star I could see. © 2020 Katarina EIleen Nazpari |
