I've had trouble getting to sleep as early as I'd like to. Rather than Netflix til I crash anymore, I make time to listen to music, and these lyrics hit me as I listened to some hip hop

In my mind I can try to seem right
but what comes to mind isn't even mine, because of time
time ticking and clicking and blocking me in
there's no way in hell I can find my way there again
to that place...that one special place
where I felt the sensations I once did
when I spilled my guts to this nation
I don't know what happened, but so much has changed
for so long, now, I've held off, afraid to be lame
afraid to let out some lame-a** lyrics
when all I really should've done is get out my feelings
why do I care so much, no one's even listening
