Eyes Full of Nothing

Eyes Full of Nothing

A Poem by KatDarkness

Your dark brown eyes; graves for stray souls,

Reflect the amber streetlights, and the stars implode

In cosmic brawls; the moon is cheap cocaine and neon

Lights mixed together like heaven's gold drugs.

My heart is a brittle, skeletal remain of the

Girl who used to play with fire.

Now she faces death with a gun through

Her painted lips.

Human connections are only for the

Beautiful People; who have not

Fallen into urban decay, or wished on

Stars for suicide.

We have no time for this foreign disease;

The overtly innocent call it love.

I prefer this rough contamination,

And affection with a blade in each hand

A deadly obscession! What will fill up the eyes? You won't need both blades but they will be working with practiced skill...
This is a new kind of fear to contemplate...a breath once taken in you may never breath out. Questions abound here.
