A Free SpiritA Poem by Kat CollinsThe key to sharing a wild soul is to make him or her feel like they can be freer with you than with anybody else.Free as a hawk on gilded wings, Coasting which ever way the forever winds blow.
Bending, yielding, gliding, over the norms, Willing to share my wild soul.
A floating feather gracefully swaying, Landing on powdered moss.
My soul marches to a different drummer, The off-count, out-of-sync, wild abandon, harmonious whole.
I have no box to confine me or hold me captive, The walls are torn down like Germany's Berlin.
Soaring above lofty ideals, constraints, petty beliefs, Creativity and love is my very breath and sunshine.
Child-like wonder and soft-light filled eyes, Seek the hidden corners of the world.
Love is a concept to be explored and embraced, Welcome with open arms to my simple heat.
Joy is unfettered lifting spirits up high, Twittering with folly and laughter of sprites in the gloam.
Independent fierceness with a gentle, sensitive soul, Uninhibited brightness rolled into calm sweetness.
A heart that cannot be captured, chained, against its will, The bird will beat its wings against the cage and die.
Resentment and hate can build with injustice, Binding of wings soaring no more.
Acceptance is my need, my requirement for trust, Who I am is who I will be, forever more eternally free.
