Dreams of You

Dreams of You

A Poem by Kat Collins
"

Written 1998

"

Gazing at the moonlit night

wondering which star you're wishing upon tonight.

Hoping and praying that you feel my love

       stretching across the vastness.

Reaching out to touch your soul.

Meeting in our dreams

       during darkened nights.

Touching and laughing

seeing your anagel eyes turned my way.

But the golden glow of the warm sun

chases away the images of you.

Leaving me with only a vague rememberance

and a longing so deep it hurts.

Anxious for the day to pass, for night to fall

where I can see you once again,

Invading my dreams from within.

this felt like a beautiful hole in love's torso...
the breathing space in which longing turns addiction

love is a strange bird,
but when it soars it's godlike

you have capture an essense, here,
that bruises and lingers in the lovliest way.

yep. I like it.

This is longing at its strongest, when it even creeps into our dreams
