A Holy Sanctuary

A Holy Sanctuary

A Poem by Kat Collins
"

Written 1997 from a dark place in the soul.

"

A holy sanctuary...

A place of peace and fulfillment.

A place to let yourself go

And your dreams and prayers are answered.

A place where your faults are forgiven,

Your pain and hurt is soothed.

But where is He?
Where is this one called Allah, Jehovah, Father, God?

I cannot seem to find him.

Is He lost?

Am I lost?

So confused...

Why are there no answers?

Why is there still pain...hurt?

Why am I still suffering?

Has He forgotten me?

A nobody...lost in this huge, cold place.

No presence, no warmth,

No answers, no love.

Why has He forsaken me?

Why am I alone?

excellent job...many questions asked by so many...remember He is always with you...even in the times when you feel He has forsaken you...but the word says..."I will never leave you or forsake you"...we must trust and believe...beautiful write

hard to feel crucified when you expect a supernatural cuddle....
I remember those questions well....
the ones that bark like high-pitched little dogs
through whole prayers.
hard stuff to digest.
again. good poetry.
