A Buried Truth

A Buried Truth

A Poem by Kat Collins

Thoughts churning in my head

Don’t know where they’ll lay

Spinning Whirling

All around

Confusion mounts

Anxiety beckons

Drawing me to the depths of despair

Find the truth amid the voices

Hear the only one that cares

God, are you there?

Show me your whisper

Your gentle caress

Find me, God, and end this misery

Slowly sifting churning through

Pushing through the sieve

Single pinpoints break through like light

Blinding searing powerful

Spoken with a breathless sigh

Butterfly kisses of cherished words

The one true voice I’ve seen and heard

Cleaning away all the mindless debris

Peaceful calm steals my soul

A simple smile lights my visage

Makes me clear and free.
