Eating From The Withered Tree

Eating From The Withered Tree

A Poem by Kat Collins

Eating from the wilted tree

Picking its rotted fruit

Dirty and dying

Befitting of a sinner

Poisonous apples, shiny red

Deceiving like the serpent

Eaten away at the core inside

Eating away at your soul
