Aqua EyesA Poem by Kat Collins"To an unrequited need...love...experience...my heart."Those penetrating aqua eyes Evade my insistent gaze. Will you ever meet mine? Too much, you say, I can’t handle it. I’ll lose control And then where will we be? Sighing deep Evisceral pain. I know I know I know. Sliding my fingers through Bouncy, slinky curls Shimmering blonde. Someday, I say, I need to hope. When timing is right. Right? If ever… I know I know I know. Gentle tugs, Caressing hands. I feel your nudge Your heated need Answering my sigh. Those pools of aqua eyes Hesitating, longing, seeking Mine. My heart is cracking, Splintering, Fine crystal in shards. I know I know I know. Sadness drips Curving against her cheek. Liquid silver in those aqua eyes. Please, you breathe, please If only If…only… The gut-wrenching ache Of losing her whisper Don’t ever forget me, I plead How could she? Smoldering, seeping, butterfly kisses I won’t. I can't. I know. good work Aug 3, 2011© 2011 Kat CollinsReviews
