A Poem by Kat-Ninja
"

Something I wrote in english class when I was bored.

"

Red blood,
Spills out before me.
The blade in my hand,
Killed another.

White snow,
Falls softly from the sky.
I walk these empty streets,
Looking for pardon.

Green grass,
Heralds spring from its long, long rest,
I lie down,
And hope this torture ends soon.

Yellow sun,
That beats down from above,
Save me from this nightmare,
Oh so real.

Orange leaves,
Fall slowly from their perch on a branch,
How long has it been?
Since this began.

Black comfort,
That holds no pain.
I fall to you,
Save me.

Oh, wow. This is well-written. You make a great use of the colors to set the tone of your poem. I like the ideas and feelings you associate with each color. Red: blood, sin. White: pardon, search for redemption Green: new beginnings, end of bleakness and pain. Yellow: hope? Orange: regret, looking back. Black: welcomed numbness. At least that's how I read it. Good write. :)
