The dark of the nightA Poem by Kastor homes
In the dying of the light
one could perhaps, embrace the night But fear would lume and and freeze my soul And with it, cheer would slump to gloom.
For the night does scare me truly Just as the Forrest fears the fire For in its roots it grows unruly Its touch alters beauty into ash.
But yet the night is not so ugly Its manifestation fools the eyes You are to think its full of evils That breath only to cause your demise But stare at its figure a little longer And study all its curves and bumps The night is devious in presentation Its irksome master pulling strings.
Its ravenous gaze would steal your shadow From underneath the suns watchful eye And freeze the world that breaths around you As flowers wilt, and blossom dies
But it is a necessary wicked For without it we could not love the sun Its bitter tasting that's for certain But without we would come undone
Misunderstood and detested Like winters snow the kills the fauna And green pastures turn to powder Until born again by natures force
In its blackened heart, there is a glow The lighthouse that guide ships to safety The part that's good within the frightful To keep the mischief at bay
but short is its reign of terror, as it will inevitably die, it a golden flash of awe and glory, it recoils for another day.
