A poem about my first heartbreak.

My days are long, my nights are cold

Without you here

The day I saw you, I knew it was true love,

I hoped one day that you could be mine

The plans we made, the hopes we shared,

Have you forgotten what he had?

I thought you said you cared, that's no longer enough,

We are finished, forgotten- you walked away

You want other girls, 

The tall ones, the short ones,

curly or straight haired ones

With you, all my dreams were coming true,

You took those from me, what can I do now?

You said you loved me, that I was the only one, 

We'd grow up and get married, have kids,

You promised you'd never hurt me, but always love me

But now it's all over, you don't need me anymore,

Swept me out of your life like the dust on the floor

In-case you want to re-live the good times we shared,

Just call up my phone, and I'll be on my way.
