Woods

Woods

A Poem by Rae
"

A poem I wrote in class.

"
Blood-curdling screams slice through air,
I run quick as the wind,
Why did I listen to the voice,
"Into the woods, come in"?

Shadows watch my every move,
Red eyes glow in the dark,
The spirits rip holes in my skin,
Trying to make their mark.

The voice calls to me one last time,
"Into the woods, come in",
"I am already here!" I shout,
When will this nightmare end?
