'Sorry mam but help wouldn't come until 12:00.' Said the cab driver, getting off the phone.

'What?'

I looked at my watch. It was 11:15. That meant 45 minutes more!

'How far is Willow street from here?' I asked.

'Its a 5 minutes drive. Almost 20 if you walk.' He answered

I played with the strap of my purse, thinking about what to do.

I decided to go. I paid the cab driver and took off.

Wait. Where am I?

I looked around. The road was not familiar at all.

'Um. Excuse me? Which place is this?' I asked.

'Its a short cut to Willow street. You see that tree over there.' He said pointing at a big tree, at the corner of the road.

'Yes?'

'Take a left from there and then take a right by the big money plant. Go straight and take another right by the first lamp post you see. You will come across a park. Willow street is on the other side of it.'

I looked at him unbelievably. He got the cue. He took out a paper and wrote down the directions.

'Thanks!' I took the paper and got going.

It was was a bit darker then usual. I looked up at the sky and saw it covered with dark clouds.

I should hurry. It can rain any minute now.

The winds got stronger once I took a left into the street. I wished I had worn a jacket.

'Now where is that money plant?'
I looked carefully at all the trees and finally spotted one. It was not far from where I was standing.

I ran up to it and took a right into an other odd looking street. There were very less trees there and the wind was strong. In the blink of an eye it started to rain.

For a moment I thought about going back. But then subsided that thought and marched ahead.
I took out the paper to look at what was next, but a strong wind blew across my face and I accidentally let go of it.

I tried to catch it but flew away with the wind.

Now what!

I tried hard to remember the directions.

Lamp post!

I looked around and there were none there. Nevertheless, I ran forward until I finally spotted one.

Saved!

I smiled widely but it died down when I reached there. There were two roads there. None of them looked familiar.

One had lots of trees on its side. The other had none.

Mmmm. Willow street is full of trees.

I took the one with trees.
