Pulse - A Universal Symphony in D MajorA Poem by Rhys JacobsI dreamt of floating in sapce with an umbilical cord made of notes attached to my heart. This is the feelign I had upon waking.
Always, my heart labours
under the misapprehension that life has some meaning. And even as the coffee-coloured candle burns it's existence away, I feel the romance of life dance on. It waltz's, fox trots with a tang, go on - this composition is coincidental, the tightened strings wring themselves. Sweet music to my bowed ears, discordant and de-majored. I count the familiar beats, my heart regulates it's timing. It is within me, it is without me. © 2013 Rhys Jacobs |
