BeyondA Poem by Karissa A. KellyGeneral hopelessness sprouts into misery, and prompts one to wonder what lies beyond this plane of consciousness.Standing atop the ledge arrived after hours’ maunder What lies beyond this edge of reality, I wonder. From the precipice’s top The ground far below Indicates a long drop And if I were to throw off of it, there isn’t a soul about to stop me, or even know. To push off Standing tall Not so much as a quaff before I fall. © 2020 Karissa A. Kelly |
