Arachnid on My WindowA Poem by Karissa A. KellySpotted the spider through my window and took a picture of her while she was at work. I do hope she appreciates the publicity.Swaying in the wind is an eight legged friend Hanging in the air by invisible thread Coming from nowhere with no detectable end. Carefully does she spin her intricate design That is to be her home of string so fine Sticky enough to trap the flies on which she will most happily dine. As she toils through the day I see stripes on her back And if memory serves she has no venom lack So I’ll keep my distance lest she try to attack. © 2020 Karissa A. KellyFeatured Review
