This poem was written for a contest. Love at first sight.

It was never going to be an ordinary day.

I did not know what to say, 

I saw your face in a crowded place

Everything just changed and the picture fell into place.

 

It is like you attracted me with your blue eyes

I had no reason to hide behind my lies -

When I looked your way I knew for sure

That you were mine, you are like my cure...

 

You came to me the day I needed you most

I was upset and very closed,

Yet you brightened up my days and brought me back to life

Ever since I hope one day you’ll call me your wife...

 

Even if this relationship won’t work out

When I need some help I know I can always count 

On you my friend no matter the time

Because all obstacles aside we both know you are mine...

 

It was never going to be an ordinary day.

The day I met you, I had nothing to say

But really what I should have said the minute we met

“I love you boy”,I knew my destiny has been set.
