A Place I Know

This is a place i wish was true

This is where I go to escape reality
Were I go when they don't want me
A place I'll only know and never tell
Somewhere safe and sound
Madness is never near
A place I hold on to so dearly
Were it keeps my soul
And only meant for me to go
Tears never escape my eyes
Were sadness lays to die
Fear and blame never came
A place that hears nor feels shame
It knows nothing about pain
Yet, reality always pulls me out of my special place
And then the mask returns to hide my face...
