Passengers

Passengers

A Poem by Karen Ocean
"

A small, brief poem I came up with. Any reviews are welcome.

"
We are nothing but passengers,
Hanging on to the miracle called life,
Careful not to lose grip
However, and much to our dismay
Time passes, years seem to fly
The world chatters, murmurs, snickers
Without saying a single word
Tears roll down cheeks
Faces smile,
The story repeats itself over and over
Yet here we are
Counting down to our shared fate
Both a blessing and a curse
What began as a bang,
Will end in nothing but a whimper
