Hemingway Drips

Hemingway Drips

A Poem by Karen Redburn

Hemingway delusion's eat the day

Lost in writing sniff black lines

Dark letters white space here we pray

Afternoon sun stream rays divine

Grimy house drip drop goes the tap

Walls corner cobwebs crying dust me

Creativity messy

Kids are home screaming food!

No time for Hemingway's scene

I love Hemingway, one of my favorite writers. Of course, if Hemingway were there, he'd be deep in a bottle of booze, numb to those drips, cries and screams--he'd just bleed on paper until another masterpiece came to life. Truly enjoyed this one!

Ah' 'For Whom the Bell Tolls' sounds like you could do with a holiday, or read him in the bath maybe. An intriguing write & an enjoyable read to boot.......N

My pleasure entirely....
To be consumed to create and capture images coming as fast as the speed of light, can put a damper on the weekly cleaning schedule.
