Children Of Eden

Children Of Eden

A Poem by Sea Light

Desolateness surrounds us in devastation
We are deprived in destitution
Only in our company have we managed to remain
in continuous existence
We only survive in the hopes
we can die to be born again
Swallowing us whole
we slide down the throat of gods and drown in salt, sand and fire.
Our backs struck down by archangels to
repent for our natural born sins
Accused and tried
we lay together bound in unrelenting constraints
Themis judges us
Order us in contempt
We are criminals to a crime of ardent love
Dissident in exile
