Childhood Fears

Childhood Fears

A Poem by Ola
"

Something I worried about sometimes as a kid

"
Popcorn ceiling as I lie in my room
Quiet so quiet as a mummys tomb
Bright pink walls with green boarded trim
Will they help keep the monsters out, not in?
My room has 2 windows nicely perched
So in case of a fire I wouldn't get torched
But one window is low to the ground
How good are kidnappers at making no sounds?
They could snatch me under my parents very nose
And maybe even leave a ransom note
Bring a big old sack like Santa clause has
Wrap me up oh won't they be glad.
Don't tell my parents of my fear
"That's just silly scary thoughts my dear."
I know im just seven but I believe
That this scenario can truly be
Oh for now I'll play along
But don't be surprised if one night I end up long gone
