A Titanic Loss

A Titanic Loss

A Poem by Nashville

Sitting here alone on the bed, blankets of sand cover me up. ice cold shivers run down my spine, the tale is wrenching, the night of my demise. In my day, I was the talk, the toast of the town. One of a kind, none like me could be found. they said I was unsinkable, a marvel to behold. Many friends and family joined me on my voyage, A trip of new beginnings, a hope of better times. On that Dark and Wintery night, they couldn't see our plight. A shadow of the end, the iciness cut me deep.  What happened next I cannot say, for only the sea can count the lost, yet in a matter of minutes myself, and many others slipped beneath the waves. still I linger. a reminder of that bitter night, Cold and lonely I lay.
