Don't Ask

Don't Ask

A Poem by Nashville

Don't ask me how I'm doing
I won't tell you how much it hurts.
On the outside I may seem happy
Inside I couldn't feel worse.
It takes every ounce of strength I possess
to keep from breaking down.
Somehow I find the courage it takes
to pretend that I'm doing well
Don't ask me how I'm doing
I wont have to tell you a lie.
