The Year of Christ

The Year of Christ

A Poem by Zakkarias Astrophel
"

My prayer for the Lost, this is for you

"
This is the year that Christ reigns
It may seem like hope's gone
But I tell you, He still remains

He's here with you, right now
Watching over you
Waiting for you

Crying out to you

Even now, Will you not hear His cry?
He cries out to you day and night

His love for you never changes
Never has, Never will

He longs for you to come to Him
To seek Him
Walk beside Him

He is constantly praying for you
Can't you hear the Sound?

Open your ears people
Hear His Cries as He Calls you

Open your eyes people
See Him for who He really is

Open your hearts people
Receive the love that He has for you

It doesn't matter what you've done
He doesn't care

Give Him your burdens
Give Him your trash

Let Him Dispose of it
And turn it into Joy

Ask and It will be given
See and you will find
Knock and the door will be opened to you

Amen

Fantastic! I liked this a lot. Truth in every line.

Wisdom in your words. We need more prayer and hope for this world. We live in a world where so many good people do great things. People are human shields. Churches are running food banks. Shelters ran by kind and wonderful people. We need to hear of the Angels. In the world where the Devil's take over the news. We need to find the good people and hold on to hope. A outstanding poem.

Very nice. I like the repeating point that he forgives, and always will.

Personally I would take out the Amen at the end, but that's just me. Nice poem.
