Rough Patch

Rough Patch

A Poem by KaoticOrder

I didn't think I could be such a fool
Though, I always knew in the shed I was never the sharpest tool
But who would know the kind of s**t a person could pull
Take what they want then leave when full.
And anything you could say would make my heart cool
Until it froze and became cruel.
And they tell us it's just a rough patch
Can't see over the weeds, cut the grass
But we burn it to the ground with a single match.
I'll stop dying, when you start trying
you're hardest to get me crying
i refuse to do it in front, so i keep lying
then wash my face when the tears finish drying.

The flow was loosely based on Cage's verse in Sadistik's "Russian Roulette."
