Languages I HateA Poem by Master K-tops
I hate French,
Too many wasted letters therein, I detest English Too many borrowed words it has, Oh! I loathe Chinese too, It is Greek to me! Let Yoruba not reach the doorstep of my mouth, Too many words with various sounds. The only language I cherish Is the language of our love, The language of silence On breezy nights when the cold wind Whispers unto our bare skin Under the light of the blue celestial watchdog. © 2015 Master K-tops |
