A WEARY SOUL SINGS HIS LOVEA Poem by Master K-tops
We were the wild kids of untamed hearts
Our souls of rebellion lit up with blazing rage Like a weird love story, we played our parts You and I eloped while cheered on by the teen age Family and friends tried to keep us down But this romantic affair shook the town. Drenched in the blind spirit of pre-mature love By the carnal desire to taste the pleasure of flesh, We flew Icarus-ly to the sky above And fell faceflat with scorched wings and broken bones to re-mesh But we stuck together through the tide Standing bravely by each other's side. I will love you for ten years to come Even with the wrinkles growing on your face My affection is like a time bomb That explodes thrice daily at reckless pace My numbered days will be spent kissing you Till the final oblivion is due. © 2015 Master K-tops |
